Position Summary 

The consultant will work directly with the Senior Technical Researcher on a study of locally led development, to include development of study tools, data collection, and participation in data analysis and reporting.    

Summary of Tasks 

1. With IREX and our partners, co-create a study protocol and tools including, for example, an interview guide, survey tool etc. 
2. Collect data from relevant stakeholders. 
3. Participate in data analysis in partnership with IREX and our partners. 
4. Contribute to drafting a report detailing study findings. 
5. Other key outputs as agreed upon with the Senior Technical Researcher.  

Skills and Qualifications 

• Master’s degree or equivalent required, PhD or equivalent preferred. 
• At least 2 years of prior research experience, namely experience publishing manuscripts in a scholarly journal, conducting data analysis, and conducting literature reviews. 
• Access to reliable internet connection required. 
• Proficiency in the Arabic language, specifically reading and writing in Modern Standard Arabic required. 

Term

This role will be an at-will consultancy. Length of the performance period and weekly hour allocations will be determined with the selected candidate, based on their availability.
