Provide support to the SHE’s GREAT! Program, in areas of administration, compliance, participant and partner engagement, stakeholder communication, research, internal and external report preparation, and logistics management for travel and/or events.
The Program Associate Consultancy will be a critical and valued member of the SHE’s GREAT! team providing backstopping support to a variety of program activities including but not limited to: support in procuring venues, resources; support in managing contracts with partners and consultants; processing payments for partners and consultants; monitoring, evaluation and learning; and program finances and reporting.
Carry out additional duties and tasks to meet the needs of the organization, team, or as assigned by supervisor.
Your Background & Skills
Background
- 1+ years of work experience; work experience may include internships or part-time job or combination of both.
- Interest or experience in gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) and positive youth development (PYD)
- Interest or experience in youth programming
- Interest in program monitoring and evaluation
- Experience working with diverse groups and teams toward a shared goal.
- You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the Dominican Republic.

Your Daily Tasks
With supervision, provide input to internal/external reports, presentations, and other products. Provide logistics support for all program needs, may include event planning, travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, etc. Contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities including data management and analysis. Support program internal and external communication; tasks may include the management of email inboxes and program contact information, drafting written communications, contributing to program communication tools (newsletters) and social media efforts.
Specific tasks for assigned role include:
- Assist with project start-up activities including establishing systems for tracking progress and processes
- Contribute to program monitoring, evaluation, learning, and reporting efforts
- Oversee data collection and submissions
- Provide staff and partners with data collection guidance and support as needed
- Responsible for data review and data management
- Coordinate event logistics and make venue and travel bookings
- Travel may be required to support or monitor program activities
- Other duties as assigned
Relational Communication
As assigned, draft correspondence with stakeholders. Guidance and/or approval before engaging stakeholders may be required. Writes fluently but may require editing. Contributes effectively to internal meetings.
Specific tasks for assigned role include:
- Represent the program to external partners during phone calls and in-person meetings and events
- Advise program participants and liaise with host organization representatives and volunteers
- Contribute to the program’s communications efforts, including social media, success stories, and program reports
Partner Engagement / Business Development
As assigned support the proposal process, by managing specific proposal tasks; tasks may include, research (competitive landscape, desk research), past performance, write assigned sections, contribute to proposal strategy and design as appropriate, observe review meetings, etc. Join leadership, when invited, in donor project meetings to increase awareness and relationship building. Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the proposal process.
Specific tasks for assigned role include:
- Collaborate with partners on a weekly basis, ensuring understanding and integration of MEL tools holistically
- Contribute to program renewals and competes as requested
Budget, Financial and Project Compliance
With the supervision of project leadership, accurately perform financial administration tasks (check requests, sub-award approval level, PAM, vendor RFP, etc.). Develop a sound understanding of the purpose and reason for each required task consistent with policies.
Specific tasks for assigned role include:
- Assist with financial tracking, procurement, payment processing, and credit card reconciliation
